In some ways this was the biggest story I ever wrote. It was about the founding of Apple Computer. It was prescient in that it came out just as computer entreprenurs were beginning to blossom all over the landscape. I got calls from book editors in New York and prestigious agents asking me to write a book as soon as the issue came out. But I had heard that Steven Jobs didn't much like the story, was mad even and I was discouraged about going any further with it. I remember sitting in an office high up in a skyscraper in NY telling an editor I'd think about writing a book on the subject. I had no idea how lucky I was. No big editors or agents have called me since.
